Synopsis: The Agreement authorizes the Parties to operate jointly a string of vessels between Asia and the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf Coasts and to exchange space on five (5) other services operated individually by one Party or the other. The geographic scope of the Agreement is the trade between ports on the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf Coasts on the one hand and ports in Singapore, Thailand, China, Vietnam, South Korea, Panama, Colombia, Mexico, Jamaica and the Bahamas on the other hand.

201436-002 201436-002-MC	5/7/2025	5/7/2025	The amendment adds Taiwan and Indonesia to the scope of the Agreement and adds a new Article 14 that reflects an interim vessel sharing/slot exchange arrangement that will temporarily supersede the existing arrangements set forth in Articles 5.1 and 5.2. The interim arrangement is being adopted in light of the drastic drop in demand resulting from current trade conditions.
201436-001 201436-001-MC	5/7/2025	5/7/2025	The amendment deletes the Bahamas, Mexico and Jamaica from the scope of the Agreement. Pursuant to 46 C.F.R. §535.302(b)(1), the amendment is exempt from the notice and waiting period requirements of the Shipping Act and is effective upon filing. In addition, the amendment makes the Agreement a low market share such that subsequent amendments are generally exempt from the notice and waiting period requirements of the Act as well.
